Margie Majeski's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Margie Majeski
Margie Majeski, age 88, of St. Clair, Michigan, was called home to God on July 25, 2025. She was born October 12, 1936, to Vincent and Josephine (Wisniewski) Makowski of Harbor Beach, Michigan. Margie had three siblings, Ernest (Loraine), Gene, and Alfred. She leaves behind her three children Perry (Angela), Robert (Yolande), and Deborah. She also leaves behind five grandchildren Therese, Christopher (Emmy), James, John, and Marcelle Majeski. She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Josephine Makowski, as well as her brothers Ernest, Gene, and Alfred.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and joy that touched the lives of everyone she met. For 65 beautiful years, Margie shared a deep and enduring love with her soulmate, Alfred, who also preceded her in death. Together, they danced through life—quite literally—bringing smiles and energy to polka halls across Michigan and Wisconsin.
Margie’s unwavering Catholic faith radiated through her actions and presence, inspiring those around her with a grace that was both comforting and uplifting. Everyone who met Margie felt the warmth of her spirit and love. She faced life’s trials with incredible endurance, always carrying the belief: “I can do it.” Her strength and positivity uplifted her family every day, and she was, without question, the best mother anyone could hope for.
Margie found joy in traveling, canning, and cooking, especially when it meant sharing meals with loved ones, and attending daily Mass. In quieter moments, she delighted in reading and assembling puzzles, some of which were proudly framed. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time at the family’s property in Northern Michigan, where she relished peaceful getaways, embraced nature’s beauty, and created lasting memories with those she loved.
Margie also found great fulfillment in her work in retail, where her friendly spirit and genuine interest in others brightened the days of customers and co-workers alike. Helping and engaging with people brought her happiness, and she brought that same warmth and attentiveness to each person she encountered. She was a beacon of compassion and a model of true patience, a gentle soul whose generous spirit will continue to guide and uplift all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Margie will be deeply missed; her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her remarkable life.
