Margie Fay Anderson's Obituary
Margie Fay Anderson, loving mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend died on Tuesday October 26th after a courageous year of battling cancer at age 86.
Margie was born January 20, 1935 in St. Clair to the late George and Bertha (Pieprzak) Reuba. She was previously married to Tom Weber, who predeceased her in 1998. Margie later married David Anderson and he preceded her in death in 2020.
Margie graduated in 1955 from The Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Detroit, MI as a registered nurse. Her long career began working at hospitals in Missouri and Washington State. After returning to Michigan, Margie worked at Mercy Hospital, Port Huron for over 40 years, Beacon Home Care for 8 years and did private duty nursing well into her 70's. Margie was a participant for 25 years in the landmark Nurses' Health Study conducted by Harvard School of Public Health, contributing to research on disease prevention.
Margie enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading and learning, fishing, biking, cross country skiing, watching baseball, football and hockey, resale store shopping and vacationing in northern MI and Siesta Key, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Tam Weber and son, Terry Weber; grandchildren, Michelle and Angela Weber; siblings, Don (Sharon) Reuba, Rita (Harold) Sayers and Sarah (Jim) Achatz and sister in law, Cheri Reuba.
Margie was preceded in death by her son, Tom Weber and brothers, George Reuba Jr. and Paul Reuba.
A Private family service will be conducted.
