Margaret Ann "Peggy" Galvin's Obituary
Margaret Ann "Peggy" Galvin, age 89, of East China Twp., died June 21, 2018. She was born January 21, 1929 in Detroit to the late Berno and Wilma Netzel. On May 17, 1947 she married Frederick "Bill" Galvin, Sr. in Marine City. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013.
She worked as a nurses aid for 25 years at River District Hospital. She was very active with the retiree group upon retirement. She also served as the treasurer of the Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church in Marine City for many years. She enjoyed the sunshine and spending time on the family boat.
She is survived by her sons; Tim (Karen) Galvin, Tom (Barb) Galvin, Bill, Jr. (Mary) Galvin and John Galvin. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister; Marty Hering.
The family would like to thank Blue Water Hospice for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
