Margaret A. Brown's Obituary
Margaret A. Brown, age 78, of St. Clair, went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2017. Margaret was born January 30, 1939 in Detroit to the late James and Jane (Rafferty) Morgan. She married William "Bill" Brown on September 3, 1960. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2005. Margaret retired from East China Public Schools after many years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. Her time spent with her family is what she cherished most. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her three children; James (Carol) Brown of St. Clair, Deborah (John) Smith of DeWitt, MI and Kevin (Jennifer) Brown of Madison, MS. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; William A. Brown, Elizabeth (Travis) Pohl, Jessica Smith (Jordan Parks), Evan Smith, Morgan Brown, Chelsea Brown, and Cassidy Brown. Also surviving are her brother; Edward Morgan and sister in-law; Patricia Bizwell, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Margaret is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters in-law; Gerald, Robert, and Joseph Brown, Virginia Remenapp, Margaret Burke, Catherine Kastl and Veronica Slaven. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and at church from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. prior to mass. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross or the Ecumenical Food Pantry.
