Maraleen Mae Cottrell's Obituary
Maraleen Mae Cottrell, age 76, of China Twp., passed away January 12, 2021. She was born July 29, 1944 in Lakeview, Michigan to the late Orlin and Audrey Denslow.
Maraleen was known for her artistic eye and how she would apply this gift to many crafts she enjoyed creating. Among these were macrame hanging baskets, handmade candles and cabbage patch dolls. In the 1970’s and 80’s she would participate as a vendor in local craft shows. She also loved knitting and would always bring her knitting projects where ever she traveled. Making quilts was also one of her passions. She would share this talent with others and once organized a quilting group at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Many local people and organizations benefitted from these hand made quilts.
