Luca "Luke" Carlo Galasso's Obituary
Luca "Luke" Carlo Galasso, age 77, of St. Clair, died September 26, 2011.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Barbara Galasso.
He is survived by his children; Robin Grace, Luke G. Galasso and Barbara Galasso, grandchildren; Thomas Grace Jr., Daniel Grace, Steven Postill, Kevin Postill and Luke D. Galasso, sisters; Joanne Spasich and Maria Johnson.
Luke retired from the Laborers International Union of North America Local 1075 in 1997. He is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Luke is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he also played with the Army All Star baseball team in Alaska. He coached local Little League and Babe Ruth teams for many years and had a love for all sports. Luke loved his friends at the American Legion Post 382, St. Clair. He loved playing euchre, his teacup chihuaha Max, building bird houses and his farm.
Funeral service will be held Thursday Sept. 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Juvenile Diabetes Assoc.
