Lorraine H. Fahs' Obituary
Lorraine H. Fahs, age 95, lifelong resident of Casco Twp., passed away peacefully, September 22, 2025, with her loving family at her side. Lorraine was born February 15, 1930 to the late Alvin and Esther Kammer.
On November 5, 1949, Lorraine married Donald A. Fahs and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing October 30, 2017.
Lorraine kept busy and worked hard every day. Raising six children while working side by side with Don on the farm was something she took great pride in. Lorraine loved to sew, everything from quilts and pillows to her children’s clothing and curtains. She also looked forward to gardening each spring and canning in the fall. She also knew her way around the kitchen and was always baking something for her family or friends.
Lorraine had a strong faith and was an active lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peters. Over the years she was a member of the church choir, participated in the women’s activities at the church, assisted with church bazaars and funeral luncheons. What Lorraine enjoyed most was being in the presence of her family and friends, visiting, telling stories and hopefully playing a few games of euchre before the night ended.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Marsha (Dennis) Bilina, Cheryl (Ronald) Myers, Lorna (Brad) Muggelberg, Cindy (Gary) Duncan, Cal (Kelly) Fahs and Jeff (Judy) Fahs; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and niece, Sheila Santini.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Nathan Myers; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Arlen Schade and niece and God-daughter, Sandy Lomerson.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peters, Mich. Rev. Kirk Langset, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Sunday, September 28th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to service.
