Lorne Harry Tait's Obituary
Lorne Harry Tait passed away peacefully in his home with his loving wife at his bedside on September 22, 2025.
Born in Petrolia, Ontario on May 30, 1947, the son of the late Harry and Doris Tait.
Lorne retired from Dow Chemical, Sarnia in 2004, after 30 years of service.
He pursued many interests, but his passion was classic cars. A proud member of the St. Clair Cruisers, he participated in many car shows around the area. But his favorite was the Frankenmuth AutoFest every September.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 27 years, Susan Merecki Tait: his children, Dee (Mark) Roberts, Traci Williams, MaryBeth Tait, Michael (Jennifer) Thomas, Eliana (Mark) Loomer. Grandchildren, Brandon Dayton and Brittany Dayton, Eitan, Shoshana, Arielle, and Noa Loomer, James and Maci Thomas and 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Janette and Beverly.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Young-Colonial Funeral Home. 4061 St. Clair Hwy. East China, Michigan.
