Lori A. Delor's Obituary
Lori Anne Delor, age 74, of St. Clair, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born February 11, 1948 in Marine City to the late James and Anne Ticknor. She was a graduate of Marine City High School class of 1966. Lori married Richard Wolff in 1969 and had her only child, daughter Melissa. She married Dwynn Delor September 28, 1984 and they spent 38 wonderful years together.
Lori studied English at St. Clair County Community College and Michigan State University, she taught English as a second language Asmara Ethiopia, Lori was the Owner of Riverside Bar in St. Clair, after selling the business she went on to retire from Hanes Brands Corp. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion post #382.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dwynn; daughter, Melissa Lynn (Steve) Wolff-Buege of Hudsonville, MI; grandchildren, Brett (Madison) Stankiewicz of Mount Pleasant, MI, Halle (Clay) Stankiewicz, Mia (Alex) Stankiewicz and Benjamin Buege all of Hudsonville, MI; brother, Jerome Ticknor, of North Street; sister in law, Lynne (Dale) Yaws of East China; Nieces, Terri (Richard) Gilbert, Rebecca (Paul) Lawpichler along with several cousins and close friends.
Lori is preceded in death by her in laws, Walt and Agatha Delor and several aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 30, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair at 11:00 a.m. visitation will take place Thursday December 29, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Dinner will also be held at a later date in Lori’s Memory.
