Mrs. Loretta Meldrum's Obituary
Loretta Meldrum, age 90, of Marine City, died August 10, 2012. She was born August 28, 1921 in Marysville to the late George and Carrie Beddow.
Loretta married Walter Meldrum October 28, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1991. Loretta was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair, Washington Life Center, Marine City and former member of Sauers Caravan Trailer Club. She enjoyed bingo, camping, crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Loretta is survived by her children; Barb (Gordon) Nicolai, Gerald (Marie) Meldrum, Nancy (Terry) Millard and Beverly (David) Corwin, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and sisters in law; Mildred Meldrum, Dorothy and Helen Beddow. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Sharon Socia, brothers; George and Charles Beddow and sister; Mildred Kettle.
Funeral services will be Thursday August 16th at 11 a.m at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2 - 9 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Thursday 10 - 11 a.m. at church prior to mass. A rosary will be said 7 pm Wednesday.
