Loretta J. "Lori" Gorr's Obituary
Loretta J. “Lori” Gorr, age 79, of Casco Twp., passed away peacefully at home with her best K-9 friend Katie by her side. She was born October 14, 1943 in Detroit to the late Insell and Virginia Harris.
Lori was a dedicated mother and homemaker to her family; she took a short break and got her associates and became a registered nurse for a few years. After that she enjoyed horses during her earlier years and then found her true passion raising, breeding and showing Doberman Pinschers. It was with this passion that Lori started Gorrmae Dobes kennel business. She was a member of the Doberman pinscher club of America. Lori was a woman of faith and liked listening to Joyce Meyers ministries and reading the bible. She loved Christmas and every year would spoil her children and grandchildren with gifts, she also enjoyed cooking and was a family-oriented person.
She is survived by her children, Regina (Gary) Frankowski, Larry (Iliana) Gorr, Michael (Valentin Marcu) Gorr; grandchildren, Ashley, Connor, Amanda, Emily, Nicole, Pepe, Sebastian; great grandchildren, Maher, Hannah, Benjamin, Ivy; siblings, Bill (Bonnie) Harris, Jenny Delor, Christine (Jim) O’Connor; sister-in-law, Toni Harris; brother-in-law, Danny Garza along with several nieces and nephews.
Lori is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Harris; sisters, Janet Knowlton and Gail Garza.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday August 12, 2023 at 3:00p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. with visiting from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
