Lorena Sadler's Obituary
Lorena Sadler, age 100, of Marine City, died March 6, 2010.
She was born July 28, 1909 in Marine City to Benjamin and Christine Chartier.
Mrs. Sadler married Bernard Sadler on February 24, 1938 at Holy Cross Church, Marine City.
He preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by her children; Edward (Kathy) Sadler and Suzanne (Richard) Vermeulen.
Grandchildren; Rebecca (Chris) Barager, Laura (Jim) Outlaw, Karen Vermeulen, Elizabeth Bickley, great grandchildren; Kaitlyn Bickley, Lauren Barager, and Anna Kate Barager, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Benjamin, Leo, and Francis "Conk" Chartier, sisters; Etta DeLisle and Alice Avers.
Lorena was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Church and also a member of the Catholic Study Club. She loving mother and wife. Her hobbies, which included sewing and cooking along with helping out with family doings filled her days.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City.
Visiting hours are Monday March 8, 2010 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a 8:00 p.m. rosary at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 11:30 to 12:00 noon at the church prior to mass.
Memorials are suggested to Fr. Al Sadler Memorial Fund.
