Lois Jean "Toot" Terbush's Obituary
Lois Jean “Toot” Terbush, age 87, of Marine City, passed away at home on August 4, 2021 with her children by her side. Lois, known as Aunt Toot to many, was born January 10, 1934 in Marine City to Laura and Ralph Biskner.
Lois volunteered for March of Dimes, Old News Boys, Girl Scouts and St. Mark’s Eposical Altar Society. She worked for Weight Watchers for many years.
Lois had a fun loving spirit; she enjoyed bowling, traveling, painting, playing cards, quilting, knitting and crocheting blankets that she shared with her family and friends.
Mom was a warm, loving woman, who was a surrogate mom to many of her childrens’ friends, family members and neighbors- who all loved her dearly.
Lois married the love of her life Blaine Terbush in 1955 and they resided together in Marine City their whole life.
Lois is survived by Glenn Terbush, Nancy (Tom) Kohlman and Jean Parcell. Grandchildren Joseph (Erin), Brent (Nicole) and Jordan (Sonja) Parcell, Sarah (Ryan) Mahohl, Cheryl (Alex) Mederios and Eryn (Steve) Lovingier. Great grandchildren Wyatt, Amelia, Vivienne, JoLee, August, Emerson, Hendrix, Emmy, June and Mila. She is also survived by her dear friend, Dee Frost. She is preceded in death by her husband Blaine, son-in-law Robert Parcell and her dear niece Donna Bearden and siblings, Irving, Russell, Leona, Ralph, Alice, Burnet and Rosemary.
The family would like to thank Wendy Steinmetz for the many past months of hugs, kisses and exceptional care she gave mom/Nana.
A funeral service will be held Monday August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
