Lois A. Leverenz's Obituary
Lois A. Leverenz, 85, of East China, died on October 7, 2016. She was born in St. Clair on October 23, 1930 to Ervin and Rose Schueneman.
On September 29, 1951 she married Kenneth Leverenz at St. Peters Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Kenneth died on March 23, 2010. Lois was a life member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. She graduated from St. Clair High School in 1948. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. and retired from Commercial & Savings Bank in 1990 after 23 years.
Lois was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and camping.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Raschke, Gresham OR; son, Timothy Leverenz and fiancee Angie Roskey, Port Huron; 4 granddaughters, Jennifer (Barry) Rippey, Susan (Matt) Dezellem, Leighann ((Nick) Nunnally, Michelle (John) Hollosy. 10 great-grandchildren; Kylee, Brycen, Tysen Rippey; Mia, Claire, Emma Dezellem; Alex Hicks & Aiden Roulo, Parker and Lucas Nunnally, sister-in-law Dorothy Schueneman, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marian & Richard Zimmer, Arizona & Melvin & Marilyn Leverenz, Port Huron MI and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, sister & brother-in-law, Phyllis and James Rocker, brother Carman Schueneman, son-in-law Jeff Raschke, and grandson, Matthew Leverenz
Funeral service will be Wednesday October 12th at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to service. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
