Lois J. Leeper's Obituary
Lois J. Leeper, age 80, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2019. She was born August 15, 1938 in Detroit to the late John and Marion Sheeran.
Lois graduated from Dominican High School, Detroit in 1957. On October 25, 1958 Lois married Joseph Leeper. Lois was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair, distributing communion to local hospital patients. She also volunteered with the VPA during flu shot season assisting with paperwork. Her family will always remember her love of playing euchre, reading, travelling and especially shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Leeper; children, Larry (Margaret) Leeper, Tony (Paulette) Leeper, Marian Leeper and Kelly Leeper; daughter in law, Brenda Leeper; grandchildren, Sarah Leeper, Jade Leeper, Blake Leeper, Andy Leeper, Evan Mabry, Alex Leeper and Austin Mabry; siblings, Joan Bartsch, Ann (Frank) McHugh, Jack Sheeran and Jim (Mary Ann) Sheeran and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful neighbors and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her son, Chris Leeper.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday January 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass. Rosary recital will be Monday at 7:00 p.m.
