Mr. Lloyd "Pug" Thompson's Obituary
Lloyd "Pug" Thompson, age 88, of Algonac, died March 10, 2015 at Medilodge of St. Clair, where he was a resident for four years. He was born March 22, 1926 in Algonac to the late Lloyd E. and Lillian Thompson. On October 9, 1947 Lloyd married Marilyn Meldrum. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving honorably with the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946. Pug worked for the Algonac Community Schools for 23 years and was a parishioner of St. Catherine Church for 67 years.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn Thompson, children; Gary (Sharon) Thompson, Dale Thompson, Mary (Paul) McGeachy, Glen Thompson, Jeff (Gina) Thompson and Lisa (Richard) Sampson, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Thompson and a sister, Betty Campbell.
A Funeral Mass will be Saturday March 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac. Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass. Interment will be in St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
