Linn A. Mason's Obituary
Linn Ann Mason, 69, of St. Clair, died after a long illness on Monday,
August 8, 2011, surrounded by her family. Despite health difficulties,
Linn remained fully engaged in work and life activities until Wednesday,
August 3, 2011.
She was born September 21,1941, in Detroit, the daughter of Mahlon and
Hazel (Linn) Gerrow.
Linn worked for her son Gerry Mason at his law firm Gerry Mason &
Associates. She enjoyed her job and loved all the people she met.
Linn loved to quilt, knit, sew, bake and cook. Linn enjoyed
making things for all of her loved ones. Most of all, Linn loved being a
mother and grandmother. Linn was a generous, giving person in life; even
in death, she has continued to give the gift of life. Her organs were donated via Michigan Eye Bank
to the University of Michigan Transplant Center/University of Michigan ,WK Kellogg Eye Center.
Linn is survived by her husband, John Mason; her children Christina
(Andy) Priestley of Manistee, Anna Brunsink of Fenton, John ( Miriam)
Mason of Croswell, Gerry (Patty) Mason of St. Clair, Dan Mason of St.
Clair, and Linn Glassnor of St. Clair; 19 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Reed, of Mt. Clemens, and
brother, Mahlon Gerrow, of Tucson, Arizona.
Linn was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation and Memorial Service will be at Crossroads Community Church located at
3631 King Road, China Twp., Michigan. Visitation will be Friday, August 12th from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm. Memorial Service and Celebration will be officiated by Rev. Michael S. Cadrette on Saturday, August 13th at 11:00 am.
