Linda Suzanne Osterland's Obituary
Linda Suzanne Osterland, age 76, of East China Twp., passed away August 14, 2024. She was born February 26, 1948 in Wyandotte to the late William and Edna Beaker.
Linda graduated from Marine City High School in 1965. Following graduation, she attended Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelor’s degree. Linda started her working career as a teacher at St. Catherine’s School in Algonac for a short time. She soon moved on to a longtime career at River District Hospital, where she retired as the Director of Information Services.
Linda and Marvin Osterland were married August 16, 1969 and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Linda enjoyed bowling and a spirited game of cards with her sisters, family and friends. She also was a big softball fan. Linda loved attending the games her husband would coach or she would find a game to enjoy on tv. Her love of the game also included being an avid Tiger’s fan.
Linda is survived by her husband, Marvin; daughters; Beth (Jerry) Hanna and Sarah (Doug) Touma; grandchildren, Andrew Touma, Katie Touma, Mason Hanna, Brett Hanna and Madeline Hanna; siblings, Kathy (Ed) Sadler, Diane (Jerry) Bassett, Nancy (Frank) Kreusel, Bill (Cindy) Beaker, Larry (Pat) Beaker, Matt (Joyce) Beaker and Chris (Renee) Beaker and many dear nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Friday, August 23rd 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service.
