Lillian Louise Mieksztyn's Obituary
Lillian Louise Mieksztyn, age 95, of Marysville, passed away January 13, 2021. She was born in Detroit April 5, 1925 to the late Casimer and Caroline Mazur. On June 4, 1949 Lillian married Leonard Mieksztyn. He preceded her in death March 28, 2002.
Lillian cherished her memories growing up, working and playing on the farm. Lillian worked for Carboloy Mfg. as one of the Rosie the Riveters’, proudly serving as part of the “Greatest Generation”. She loved to cook, but was an awesome baker. Lillian had a gift to decorate each of the many houses her family built and lived in to feel like a home. She loved to entertain friends and family. Her family cherishes the memory of Lillian catering weddings and large family gatherings. Her legacy will be her passion of being a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Butch Mieksztyn, Lilyann “Dolly” Eagen, Debbie (Jim) Elwood, Stan (Carol) Mieksztyn, Lori (Mike) Lozowski and Jim (Micky) Mieksztyn; grandchildren, Marty, Matthew, Sean, Adam, Jacqui, David, Paul, Derek, Nicole, Erika, Emily, Rachel and Katie; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Jankowski and many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by sons in law, Tom Muzeck and Tim Eagen; brothers, John, Joe, Dan, Ted, Norman and Ramond Mazur.
Visitation is Monday January 18th, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Masks are required. A private family funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kids in Distress or the Humane Society. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
