Leonard S. Skonieczny's Obituary
Leonard S. Skonieczny, age 90, of Gaylord formerly of St. Clair. Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. He was born May 13, 1930 in St. Clair to the late Ignace and Mary Skonieczny. Leonard married Marilyn Dimick on May 22, 1954 and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2020.
Leonard was a Tool and Die Maker for over 40 years, retiring up north to Gaylord for the last 25 years. Previously to retirement he enjoyed many weekends with family and friends snowmobiling up north. He was a lifelong member of the St. Clair and Gaylord Lions Club along with The American Legion post 382 in St. Clair. After retirement he enjoyed continuing his participation with the Lions Club. Leonard also enjoyed his antique cars, car shows, euchre and his golf cart rides around his property and the lake.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Kevin) Garza, Patricia Bark, Judy (Jerry) Lamb; son, Richard Skonieczny; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason), Luke, Cindy, David, Brendan, Devin, Eryn, Michael (Shanell), Scott, Meghan, Clarke, Jack, Emma, Kyle, Erin (Mike), along with 8 great grandchildren.
Leonard is preceded in death by son in laws, Mike and John.
