Lenore M. Ernest's Obituary
Lenore M. Ernest, age 82, of Marine City, passed away November 19, 2021. She was born November 22, 1938 in St. Clair to the late William and Eleanor Ameel.
Lenore was a woman of many talents, she loved to garden and was also a skilled seamstress. At one time she worked as a compassionate caregiver specializing in caring for the elderly and children with special needs. She formerly coached the Marine City Equestrian Team and one year led them to a State Championship. Above all, Lenore was a proud grandmother, as they were the joy of her life.
She is survived by Gerald Ernest; her daughters, Katherine (Marty) Schweihofer, Robin (Glenn) Meldrum, Mary Beth (Chris) Phelan, Laurie (Leo) Agosta and Debra Allington; grandchildren, John, Evan and Mary Elise Lyszczyk, Kelsey (Trevor) Baker, Allison Liverance, Elizabeth (Ty) Troxell, Collin and Isabelle Agosta, Richard, Carter, Taylor and Anna Allington; sister, Katherine (Paul) Gillihan; sister in law, Kathie Ameel.
She was preceded in death by her brother William Ameel Jr. and special cousin, Kay Ann Winzer.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday November 24th at 3:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 prior to service.
