Lecil was a great supervisor, but also a good man. I recall my daughter saying to me upon her move to Raleigh from VA, "Mom, is the Lecil Reece whose name I see as the teacher of the Sunday School class at my new church, your supervisor, Lecil Reece? She is a member of Trinity Baptist Church, as was Lecil. I am very thankful I transferred to Raleigh under his supervision.
Lecil was the best father in law I could have ever asked for. He and Bettie welcomed me to the family from the first moment I met them. He will be missed but I know without a shadow of a doubt that he is happy in the arms of His Lord and Savior and Bettie, Chris and Will.
