Lawrence "Larry" Wilkie Sr.'s Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Wilkie Sr., age 82, of East China, passed away peacefully August 3, 2021. He was born on May 30, 1939 in Detroit to the late Harry and Genevieve Wilkie. Larry married Jacqueline Rice on April 7, 1958 and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2018.
Larry was employed with Chrysler ad a truck driver and retired after 30 years. He had a passion for motorcycles and watching Nascar. Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hubbard Lake, MI. Above all Larry loved the time he got to spend with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Larry Jr. (Monica) Wilkie, Julie (Bobby Bondie) Wilkie, Chris (Sandy) Wilkie, Jackie (Nick) Hutton; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Diane) Wilkie, Gary (Diane) Wilkie; sister, Arlene Wilkie along with several nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his son Gary Wilkie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. with visiting from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
