Lawrence "Larry" Biscorner's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Biscorner died Saturday, November 4, 2023 surrounded by his family after a short, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 2, 1948 to Ralph and Loretta Biscorner. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He spent his career working for the Ford Motor Company where he retired after 30 years of service. He later served in different capacities and positions including working for the DNR boat launch in Marine City. He enjoyed being outside, fishing and hunting with his family and friends, especially his son Ryan.
He is survived by his son Ryan (Stacy) Biscorner, his grandchildren Emily and Matthew Biscorner, his siblings, Kathy (Tom) Keighley, and Sandy (Chick) Spencer, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends, Duchess, his faithful Rhodesian Ridgeback and best friend, and last but certainly not least, Sharon Biscorner, the mother of his son Ryan with whom he held a special lifelong friendship with. Ryan saw that even though 2 people aren’t meant to be together, they can be friends and coparent with love for each other and their child.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Loretta Biscorner, brother Ronald Biscorner, sisters Ann Bliss and Ruthann May, several other special family members and 4 faithful Rhodesian Ridgeback companions, all named Duke.
A funeral service and military honors will be on Thursday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Larry will be laid to rest on Friday, November 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Rosehill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Larry’s memory to The Blue Water Hospice Home in Marysville, Michigan.
