When I was four years old, Laura saved my life. She recognized something was seriously wrong and insisted my parents get me to the hospital immediately, even as they drove through a tornado. My appendix had already burst, and had she not spoken up when she did, I may not be alive today. She was, and always will be, my hero.
She also had a rare gift for creating beauty — crocheting with skill and making delicate angels from safety pins.
She taught me that it’s possible to speak your truth and follow your own path, even when others may not understand — and to do so with confidence and grace. Love you forever ♥️
Every time she said "I love you Holly."
Laura greeted me with a big hug when I got out of the car in her driveway and she showed me all the things she had done to make her front yard pretty. She made me a cup of tea and we talked for hours. Then Laura made me a delicious tuna fish sandwich, potato chips, and her homemade oatmeal cookies. We talked some more and then she showed me everything she had done in her back yard. We made a great memorable day together and one I will always cherish.
Her continuous love and support she gave to her children and grandchildren.
No matter what life difficulties and challenges are thrown at you, if you work at it, you can overcome them.
When we worked together with all of our sisters to do a spring clean-up for our sister Judy.

Grandma was always there for me whenever needed. And I will always remember the happy times we had fishing, and going to McDonald's I will miss you always!! Love Thomas Alan Weldon II

My favorite memory with her will ALWAYS be of her and I making cookies together. We'd giggle and laugh together as we wipe flour or cookie dough on each other's faces. LOL. Louie would come into the kitchen and just look at us, shake his head and laugh. We ALWAYS had this special closeness and not just as mother in law to daughter in law, but our birthdays were a day apart. She will forever be in my heart.
