Larry Chester Hayden's Obituary
Larry Chester Hayden, age 89, of St. Clair, passed away on July 31, 2026. He was born on June 2, 1937 in St. Clair to the late Ray and Bertha Hayden.
Larry was a dedicated son and father. He graduated from St. Clair Community College with a degree in engineering. He enjoyed working in maintenance within hospitals and nursing homes. His last employer was the St. Clair County Road Commission which he retired from.
Much of his life was spent helping others. His interests were history, reading, walking, socializing, and raising Golden Retrievers. He had a natural sense of humor.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Deca Thompson, granddaughter, Sarah Thompson, and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp.
