Kathy Olga "Cookie" Kammer's Obituary
Kathy Olga “Cookie” Kammer, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her daughter, Krista Rae Recor and best friend Maureen Maloney's home, July 13, 2022. Kathy was born February 15, 1945 to the late Arthur and Mary (Densmore) Kammer in her grandmother’s home in Marine City, MI.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Mary (Fred) Starcher, Krista Rae Recor and step daughter Tammy Dietlin. Also surviving her are is her brother Charles Kammer; brothers in law, Don Schutt and Larry Wilmoth. Her best friend Maureen Maloney and faithful companion, Kota Ray. 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Kammer; sisters Ann Schutt, Dorothy Brown, Linda Pray, Dixie Dibble, Wendi Wilmoth and step son, Mark Recor. Kathy owned and operated her own ceramic shop until she found her calling as a caregiver at Medilodge of St. Clair. A special thanks to her care team at Accent Care Season’s Hospice.
Cremation arrangements with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
