Kathy (Kaufman) Gleissner's Obituary
Kathy (Kaufman) Gleissner, age 73, of Ira Twp. passed away August 18, 2022. She was born December 18, 1948 in St. Clair to the late Melvin and Virginia Kaufman. On July 29, 1994 Kathy married Walter Gleissner.
Kathy graduated from Algonac High School in 1967. She was the former Treasurer and Show Chairman with the Blue Water Antiques Dealer Assoc. She once had her own band “Kathy’s Kombo” and would play the accordion. Kathy was a very accomplished cake decorator, who always enjoyed a good party. She also loved spoiling her nieces and nephews. Kathy also traveled extensively with Walter. Most of all Kathy loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Walter Gleissner; siblings, Thomas (Cynthia) Kaufman and Patricia (Frank) Senger; sisters in law, Carol Kaufman and Marilyn D’luge and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Melvin Kaufman Jr. and Richard Kaufman.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a rosary recital at 2:30 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
