Kathleen Marie Kapa's Obituary
Kathleen Marie Kapa, age 70, of China Twp. formerly of Warren, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1954 to Patricia and the late Donald Rosplochowski. Kathy was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Kathy was proud of her faith and often attended retreats in Detroit. When healthy, earlier in life, she took part in recreational softball and bowling leagues for many years. She was an avid animal lover, she appreciated large wild animals, but had a special spot in her heart for the many dogs and cats she owned throughout the years. Kathy found peace in gardening and spent many hours caring for her plants and flowers. She truly cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Derek (Kimberly) Kapa; grandchildren, Anastasia and Ethan Kapa; mother, Patricia Rosplochowski; siblings, Lori (Robert) Plonka, Sue (Dave) Russell, Dave (Laurie) Rosplochowski.
She is preceded in death by her sister Diane Bickmann.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. before the service begins. Immediately following the funeral service, there will be a celebration of Kathy's life with dinner and drinks at 7:00 p.m. at the Voyageur Sports Bar (Bowling Alley) in St. Clair.
