Kathleen "Kay" Gibson's Obituary
Kathleen M. "Kay" Gibson, age 78, of East China Twp., passed away on April 16, 2016. She was born to the late Ray and Marie Engelgau on October 24, 1937 in Port Huron. She married Jerry Gibson in 1954.
She was a professor at Macomb County Community College for 32 years. She was also an accomplished pianist playing at many area churches.
She is survived by her husband; Jerry Gibson, daughter; Susan Gibson Uppleger, grandson; Scott Uppleger (fiance';Emily Cody). She is also survived by her sister; Marge Stein, and brothers and sisters in-law; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son; Scott Gibson, sister; Eleanor Siemen, and brother; Donald Engelgau.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Clair County Humane Society (SNAP) or donor's choice.
