Mrs. Katherine "Kathy" Stockwell's Obituary
Katherine "Kathy" Stockwell, age 62, of Marine City, died August 2, 2013. She was born November 4, 1950 in Mt. Clemens to the late Charles Yax and Shirley Leemhuis.
Kathy married Franklin Stockwell Jr. on March 10, 1979. She was employed with Ford Motor Company for 30 years retiring from the Chesterfield Trim Plant.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years Franklin Stockwell Jr., daughters; Melisa (Robert) Blanchard and Michele Stockwell, grandchildren; Dakota Davis and Shealyn and Colton Blanchard, siblings; Christine Martin, Karen Jolicoeur, Sandra (Wayne) Solgot, Laurie Murphy, John Leemhuis Jr. and Jennifer (Mike) McCally, mother in law; Janet Stockwell, brother in law; Scot Stockwell and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son; Edward V. Stockwell and step father; John "Jack" Leemhuis.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday August 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass. www.youngcolonial.com
