Karlene S. Harbour's Obituary
Karlene S. Harbour, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024. Karlene was born on January 17, 1932. Karlene met Albert E. Harbour in Kansas City, MO and they were married on September 6, 1953. Karlene was an avid reader and a devoted lifelong learner. She earned a bachelor’s degree and three graduate degrees. Karlene served others as a Social Worker at various hospitals and counseling agencies. She was a longtime member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair and most recent a member at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Marysville. Karlene was a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Karen), grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Patrick (Kara) Harbour, and Erin (Colin) Stroh; great grandchildren, Kaeleigh and Delilah Harbour, and Oliver Stroh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harbour; son, Kevin Harbour; daughter, Karal.
A funeral mass will be on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, Marysville. Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 2, rom 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp, as well as from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass.
