Karl Bublitz Jr.'s Obituary
Karl Bublitz, Jr., age 77, of St.Clair, died November 25, 2015. He was born on July 9, 1938 in Spruce, Wisconsin to the late Karl and Orpha Bublitz.
Karl graduated in 1956 from St. Clair High School. He then honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959. He married Dorothy Gayer on May 11, 1957 in St .Clair. She preceded him in death in 2008.
Karl worked for the Detroit Edison for over 30 years retiring in 2001 as a Power Plant Operator.
He loved to play golf and was a member of the St. Clair Special Police and following retirement worked security at Port Huron Hospital. He was a very talented oil painter and loved to paint the lake freighters.
Karl is survived by his children; Karl J. (Jennifer) Bublitz and Debra A. Bublitz. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Madison, Charlie, and Marley Bublitz, brother; Richard (Dorothy) Bublitz, sister; Jeanette Pierre, sister in-law; Linda Baldwin and brother in-law; Emory Gayer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister; June Bublitz.
Private family interment will take place on Monday at Hillside Cemetery, St.Clair. Visiting hours will be Sunday, November 29th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
