Karen Jayne Akred's Obituary
Karen Jayne Akred, age 73, of St. Clair, died January 23, 2012. She was born April 28, 1938 in St. Clair to the late Stanley and Norene Schriner.
On October 24, 1959 Karen Schriner married Ronald Akred Sr. in St. Clair. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2011.
Karen was a former member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church , St. Clair.
She was a loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children; Kimberly (Price) Smith, Ronald Jr. (Nita) Akred, Kurt Akred and Kathryn (Bruce) Bacon, grandchildren; Devin Smith, Ronald J. Akred III, Jeremy, Kyle, Myles and Lindsey Akred, Justin and Jenna Bacon, brother; Stanley (Nancy) Schriner.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church , St. Clair. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery , St. Clair.
Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home , China Twp. and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to services.
