Mrs. Karen Marie Wissman (nee Siders)
Karen Wissman, 60, of Casco died of cancer on Saturday June 12, 2010. She was born May 9, 1950 in Hartford City, Indiana, to the late Rev. Harley and Rose Mae siders. She married Earl Wissman on December 29, 1979. Karen worked as a preschool teacher for Head Start for 20 years, and Christian Education in the First United Methodist Church for many years. She did volunteer work and served on the board of trustees for Simpson Park Camp in Romeo, MI for many years. She loved knitting, quilting and scrapbooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her spouse, Earl, and her children; Matthew (Alisse) and Amanda(Chris) Bohle; sisters Kathy Smith and Carol Ray. Numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Harley and Rose Mae Siders and her brother James. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, St. Clair. Pastor Donald Gotham will officiate. Interment will be in Meade Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Earl Wissman.
