Judy Kosmider's Obituary
Judy Kosmider, my beautiful wife of 38 years passed on to eternity Thursday, September 23, 2021. Judy was born to Melvin and Virginia Neumann in Saginaw, Michigan. She was their only child and they expressed very much love for this little girl.
Judy attended a catholic school for her primary education where she loved the teaching and guidance she received from the Catholic nuns. Her poise, grace and modesty was reflected in her interactions with other people and personality all of her life. Leaving the loving care from her primary school she attended and graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School. Judy was a serious student and had aspirations of becoming an interior designer.
After a short period of time in retail employment she began her working career at a company called Radio Center. She confided to me that she loved that job and really felt badly when she had to leave s she accompanied her husband in his pursuit of a career within the Department of Natural Resources.
Judy accompanied her husband as he was assigned to different responsibilities in the Parks Division.
She met many friends on this journey finally moving to reside in Fort Custer Recreation Area, in Augusta (between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo). Life was a journey for us throughout our marriage. When her husband retired they moved to Port Huron, where they reunited with friends that they interacted with throughout their life.
Judy loved children, animals and personal relationships with friends. She particularly enjoyed the challenges of quilting. High on her list of priorities were the needs of children as she was regarded as a second grandmother to the three daughters (Mackenzie, Julia, and Anna) of Jennifer Richie Kern.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Aunt Rose and Uncle Gerald Graham of Saginaw, sister and brother in-law John and Virginia Bukowski of Alger.
She is survived by her husband William Kosmider and son Benjamin of Port Huron, sister and brother in-law Veronica and Mathew Hennig from Alger, Pat and Sally Kosmider of Sterling and several nieces and nephews and cousins in the greater Detroit, Grand Rapids, Idaho Falls and rural Alger.
Judy requested no flowers or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, a financial gift in memory of Judy Kosmider can be made to St. Labre Indian School, P.O. Box 216 Ashland, MT 59003-9989.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Young Funeral Home, China Twp. www.youngcolonial.com
