Joyce Anne Evans' Obituary
Joyce Anne Evans, age 71, of China Twp., passed away surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home on March 16, 2024. She was born on April 15,1952 to the late Thomas and Joyce McCraw in San Diego, California. Joyce married Richard Evans on July 13,1973 at Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton, Mississippi. She was a proud Navy wife. Joyce graduated from Bucks County Community College Nursing Program, Pennsylvania. When she moved to Michigan, she worked as a nurse at Faith Medical, then went on to work at the Visiting Nurse Association, Port Huron. Joyce loved horses, her and Richard owned a horse for several years, and that horse was her best friend. When she was with her horse, that was her “happy place”.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Evans; children, Randall (Denise) Evans, Audree (Jeremy) Danielson; grandchildren, Michael (Jenna) Gore, Tyler and Kyle Danielson, Corbin Evans; great grandchildren, Camden, Arabella; sisters, Roxanne Dyer, Anna Lee McCraw.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas McCraw Jr.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, March 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will also be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation.
