Growing up, Jon especially loved that Uncle Joe always made a skating pond in his backyard & the kids played hockey all winter. Jon spoke often of their family vacations together at Ipperwash.
Our family enjoyed time sent with Uncle Joe & Aunt Rita when they came and stayed with us; as well as our visits with them at their pool when we came to St Clair.
Uncle Joe was about 18 years old when I was born. He always made a big fuss over me. When he was wounded in World War II, I was only allowed to hug him very carefully since I was a toddler seeing my beloved uncle lying bandaged on the couch. I still remember my parents' cautions to be careful of his bandages. When I was 7 years old, I was honored to be a flower girl in Uncle Joe and Aunt Rita's wedding. Uncle Joe always made me feel welcome and loved throughout my life. I was so blessed to have him as special part of my life! May he rest in Peace!
Mr. Lozon was always supportive of son, Dan with all his sporting teams participation from Little League Baseball to SC High activities. Friendly and cheers all of us on...
Joe was one of the nicest and sweetest men I ever met. Steve always had great stories to share of their bowling team and golfing trips. Wednesday nights were for his granddaughters and he never missed. He lived a long life, may he rest in peace now. Sincere condolences to his family.🙏🏻❤️✝️️
My condolences to the family. Joe was in the same graduating class as my mother, Doris Welser Silk and she always spoke highly of him. Many years later I was in the same class as Dan. Both good men. 😢
