Joseph Thomas Delor's Obituary
Joseph Thomas Delor, age 77, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on August 16, 2025. Joe was born January 24, 1948 in St. Clair to the late Mathias “Babe” and Ann Delor.
On October 26, 1968 Joe married Colleen Anderson in St. Clair and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
Joe graduated from St. Clair High School in 1966. He proudly served his country as an Army Reservist during the Vietnam War era. He retired from Detroit Edison as a lineman following many years of service.
Joe loved doing anything outdoors, most of all deer hunting, mowing lawn and spending time in his woods. Joe’s family fondly remembers family camping trips in the motor home. Joe was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Clair Council #2251.
Joe was a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather and loyal friend. His warm smile and hearty laugh will be missed by his family and many friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Colleen Delor; children, Colleen Ann (Bob) Rose, Rene (Chris) Ofeno, Maggie (Jay) Fiori and Joseph (Sara) Delor; grandchildren, Samantha (Alex) Paggioli, Katie (Joey) Ventimiglia and Teri (Deepak) Dileepkumar, Alison Delor, Aidan Delor and Alex Delor; great grandchildren, Mason, Caroline, Harper, Maddie, Kenzie and Gigi and many special cousins and close friends.
Joe was predeceased by his brother, James Delor.
The family wishes to thank McLaren Hospice for their dedicated service caring for Joe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Thursday, August 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
