Joseph A. Bachler Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph A Bachler Jr., age 90, of East China, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 4, 2022. He was born December 12, 1931 to the late Joseph Sr. and Emma Bachler. Joseph was born and raised in Marine City, where he was a graduate of Holy Cross High School class of 1949. Following high school, he went on to electronic school at RETS for 2 years. Joseph then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Mary C. Senger, who preceded him in death on October 22, 2006. Joseph owned and operated J.A. Bachler, Realtor for 20 years. He was a longtime member at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting guns, as well as making antique rifles. He cherished the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Bachler III, Mark Bachler, Mike (Donna) Bachler, Scott (Eileen) Bachler; son-in-law, Sam Polio; grandchildren, Ashley, Joseph, Anthony, Emma, Kaley, Nicole, Trent, Zach, Aaron, Mary Kate, Maggie, Michael, and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Polio; daughter-in-law, Carrie Bachler; siblings, Dorothy McLean and Richard Bachler.
A funeral mass will take place Thursday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 9, from 3:00- 6:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. as well as from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery following mass. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
