A very fond memory is John sharing his personal memories and knowledge at an event honoring Milton Friedman that I held with some Young Republicans and friends. He drove himself and everyone was thrilled with his first hand knowledge and wisdom. I am grateful and blessed to have known him. Rest easy John! Sympathies to his family.

Rotary brought John and me together. He had an endless strength and enthusiasm for any task he chose to take on, and he took on many. In particular I remember him working with me to assemble American Flags when the St. Clair Rotary first started that project. John became a respected friend. He is missed.

I am sadden by the passing of one of the wisest people I have ever known. A fellow Curmudgeon who brought a new meaning to debate as we met at the St. Clair Inn for our monthly "meeting of the minds." I'll never forget the day we met in the office of the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce and how the spark of friendship grew from then. Oh, how I looked forward to our Friday morning breakfast where all or most of the world's problems were resolved. In my advancing years I found in you a knowledgeable mentor, someone I could trust and a dear friend I loved very much. My deepest sympathy and condolences are extended to wife Belle and family. John left his mark on society and certainly in my heart. He will be missed.
