John L. Burnette's Obituary
John L. Burnette, age 65, of Byron, Georgia, formerly of Emmett, Michigan, passed away April 28, 2023. John was born July 25, 1957 in Detroit to the late Clarence L. and Diane E. Burnette. John married Mary Closs on May 29, 1982.
John retired from Mill Creek Metal Works in Yale, Michigan. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed vintage NASCAR races and BMX racing. John coordinated BMX racing in Goodells for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Burnette; children, Tyson and Scott (Jade) Burnette; grandchildren, Vivian Bailey and Emmett Burnette; sister, Cheryl (Bruce) Kelly; brothers in law and sisters in law, David (Tina) Closs, Ronald Closs, Michael Woodman and Diana (Randy) Eckhardt and many nieces and nephews.
