Joe Chartier's Obituary
Joe Chartier, age 45, of Marine City, passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on October 31, 2022. Joe was born May 7, 1977 in Grosse Pointe.
Joe graduated from Marine City High School in 1995 and attended Baker College. He loved the sport of racing, cars, snowmobiles, almost anything with a motor. He once pursued a racing career and attended NASCAR Training School in North Carolina. Joe had a generous and kind heart. He wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone in need and always had a soft spot for children. He was proud to be a big brother and loved his brothers dearly. With his ambitious spirit Joe enjoyed working with his father at the family business on the farm.
Joe is survived by his father, Ken (Jenay) Chartier; brothers, Cristofer Chartier and Konner Chartier (fiancé Hailey); niece and nephews, Mia, Mason and Kayce; step brother, Mike Morelli; niece and nephew, Lainey and Joseph; mentor Uncle Todd Chartier along with many dear family and special friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Chartier; grandparents Earl and Lucile Chartier and aunt, Linda Conner.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp. Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service. Luncheon in celebration of Joe to follow.
