Mrs. Joanne Demma's Obituary
Joanne Demma, age 72, of Marine City, died October 21, 2013. She was born November 18, 1940 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
On June 18, 1960 Joanne Verbeerst married Charles Demma in Harper Woods. Joanne was a registered nurse at Bi-County Hospital in Warren.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Demma, daughter and son in law; Cathy and George Gillis, grandchildren; Jordan and Duncan, mother; Margaret Verbeerst, brothers; Chuck (Gail) Verbeerst and James (Gretchen) Verbeerst, sister; Marge (George) Angell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son; Charles and father; Charles Verbeerst.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be conducted Saturday October 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. prior to mass. Urn interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp at a later date.
