Joann (Peterson) Nikkel, age 84, of St. Clair, formerly of Clinton Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 23, 2019. She was born June 1, 1935 in Detroit to the late Fred and Helen Krussman. She married Jame Read Obituary
Our deep sympathy to Wally and all of her family. We Shared a beautiful cruise with Joanne and Wally a few years ago. We treasure our friendship with Joanne who was a most gracious ,kind and joyful person.. She will be missed , but remembered with joyful and loving thoughts and memories. Jim and Annette Riess.

Sending prayers and condolences to Joann's family and to our dear friend Wally. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel fortunate that my Mom and Dad had such awesome friends, and Joann was one of them. I will always remember her as a bright star that always seemed to find something to laugh about, and when she laughed, it would always make me laugh too! She was always so positive and passionate about life, her family, and her love of the water. I will remember her always.
