Joann Closs' Obituary
Joann Closs, age 62, of East China Twp. passed away on September 18, 2013. She was born to the late Emery and Florence Stager on February 13, 1951 in St. Clair. She married Ronald Closs on August 4, 1973 in St. Clair. She was a life long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St.Clair. She was very active in the church, teaching catechism and helping with funeral luncheons. She enjoyed reading, bookstores, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; Ronald Closs, children; Thomas (Danielle) Closs, Timothy (Danielle) Closs, Brian (Lorraine) Closs, grandchildren; Laurianna, Rylan, Jordyn, and Inara. She is also survived by her brothers; George Stager and Gerald (Debbie) Stager, brother-in-law; Clarence Baker and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister; Jean Baker.
Funeral services will begin Saturday September 21 at 9:15 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, St.Clair. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
