Joann Bennett's Obituary
Joann Bennett, age 72, of Columbus Twp., passed away peacefully July 9th at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born November 27, 1948 in Detroit to the late Clair and Providence LeVey.
On June 14, 1969 Joann married John Bennett. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage before his passing August 30, 2011. Joann will be remembered fondly by her family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
She is survived by her children, John (Kim) Bennett and Carol (Brian) Gest; grandchildren, Ally (Matt) Hall, Taylor (Stephanie) Symon, Johnny Bennett, Joseph Bennett, Halley Bennett, Holly Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Eddie Seefried, Joanie Seefried, Taylor Gest (Ryan Prouty) and Kyle Gest; 4 great grandchildren; brother, John (Judy) LeVey and her beloved companion Coco.
Joann was predeceased by her siblings, Tom LeVey, Janet Spano and Edward LeVey.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 16 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond.
Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. To leave the family a message of comfort please visit:
