Megan Ariel
Oh, Grandma. I miss you already.
You made my childhood so amazing.
I loved our afternoon naps, our gardening, our games of Uno and Old Maid. How you would let me have Fudgesicles for breakfast and play an endless reel of cartoons for me. We also watched so many episodes of "Wheel of Fortune" together. I appreciate how you helped ease my many anxieties and always welcomed me with hugs and a special kind of love that only grandmas can give.
Then, as an adult, you sent me literally the best emails while I was at MSU. You encouraged me and supported my ambitions, both teaching and writing. I will never forget your generosity to your grandchildren. You are my biggest fan, and I love you so much.
I know you are in a better place, surrounded by love and peace. I look forward to when I can get another one of your hugs.
PS. I've been listening to a lot of Perry Como lately, in your honor. I'm a fan now too.
