Joan Marie (Suisse) Charron's Obituary
Joan Marie (Suisse) Charron, age 91, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 7, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1932 to the late Edward and Leona Suisse. Joan Married Donald A. Charron Sr. on October 21, 1949. Donald preceded her in death on May 4, 2002. Joan worked as a press operator at Pine River Plastics for several years. However, Joan spent most of her time doing what she loved most, being around her family. She thoroughly enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was selfless, and always made herself available to assist with anything that had to do with her kids. Joan liked the outdoors, especially being around the water. Most of her travel plans were based around where the water was. She was avid in puzzle solving, never missing a crossword or sudoku that was in the daily paper. Joan also was a big Detroit Tigers fan. With all of her hobbies, they were more enjoyable to her when she was accompanied by family. She truly cherished the time she got to spend with her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Donald (Roxanne) Charron Jr., Darlene (Jim) Forster, Ronald (Denise) Charron, Dean (Kathy) Charron; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; son in law, DeVere Edwards; and daughter in law, Janet Charron. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Marie Edwards, and son, David Edward Charron. A funeral service will be on Saturday, July 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. As Joan would want, casual dress for attending guests is encouraged. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
