I was just speaking with a colleague and he informed me of this news about Jerry. We met in the late 1980's as coworkers at HPG and I have fond memories of growing that business with Jerry's excellent sales tact... and will always remember the annual beach parties he held in the middle of a Michigan winter! Although our paths separated years ago, I recall how excited I knew he must have been to have a family of his own as he always treated my children with such care. I'm glad I was able to hunt him down last year even if it was just to swap a few emails, and know fully well he was relying on God to set his path. Rest in peace, my long ago friend. Mike Petit
As a professional, Jerry had integrity and a commitment to customer service that was unparalleled. As a golfer, Jerry made every aspect of the game fun - including "jerry-rigging" the cart to make it go faster. Easy to see how he used to be a great Santa - that jolly twinkle never left his eyes. My deepest sympathy to his wife and children, the ultimate joy in his life. I first met Jerry when he called on me at TRW; I was delighted to reconnect with him just recently at Prism Plastics. He has left an incredible legacy.
I just heard of Jerry's death. My deep sympathies to the whole family. We were longtime friends going back to TRW,Huron, Security as well as here at Torch Lake. What do we leave behind? Whenever I think of Jerry I will smile and laugh.....Pat Haley
